The Tumbleweeds Skirt

I sewed this ribbon skirt from a swath of black piqué tencel, with chartreuse and vintage ribbons along the bottom. It was loosely inspired by the 1940s sketch below. I’ve always loved the vintage look of ribbon skirts—the tones of this one feel southwest to me, and I wanted to snap it amongst the cacti. But I have my eye on a beautiful Austrian ribbon skirt by Lena Hoschek someday as well.
