Round-Up: Fine Wine

Wines tones are some of the best colors to reach for in fall and heading into the holidays: burgundy, claret, bordeaux, black cherry, raisin, plum, oxblood. They feel rich and saturated, elegant, and festive. Although if you’re matching tones, they can be maddeningly hard to match, but some persistence is worth it for the punch of the color drench. They also pair exceedingly well with deep green, mustard, and chartreuse, and even colors unexpected for fall, like sage, robins egg blue, and pale pink. I’m particularly a fan of a fall coat in a dark wine tone, as an alternative to black.
