Toasty Kitten

While some might think leopard a little ultra, I say it can be chic as can be when applied right. I picked out this vintage coat for my birthday (faux, of course). I’m discriminating about the particular print and tones of leopard, as there are so many diverse variations out there. Some can look artificial to me, so I say go for the most natural or true-to-life print (without, of course, harming any animals)—or, the other end of the spectrum, where the print is brushy, abstract, and clearly referential rather than literal. And I steer away from more orange tones and go more beige. The brown shades of leopard feel just right for fall to me. Of course it pairs perfectly with black, brown, and beige, but I’m excited to pair some leopard with burgundy and greens too, as the temps cool down.
